Princess Birthday Cake

09/2010: This princess birthday cake was Strawberry Shortcake Flavored (bottom): French Vanilla Buttermilk Cake with Strawberry Mousse Filling and Milk & Cookies Flavored (top): Dark Chocolate and White Cakes with layers of Oreo Buttercream Filling. The whole thing was iced in pink Vanilla Buttercream and decorated with a gumpaste crown, #3 and bow. The purple “flowers” are buttercream stars with white sugar pearls. The pearl border was made from fondant and dusted with pearl luster dust (of course!).
